Professional Journey

My general surgical career began at Westmead Hospital. I received comprehensive training across diverse specialties including Upper Gastrointestinal, Colorectal, Head and Neck, Surgical Oncology with expertise in skin cancer, Breast/Endocrine, Vascular, General Surgery, and Trauma. This foundational training was further solidified through a rigorous two-year fellowship at Westmead Hospital, a renowned level 1 trauma centre, focusing on Trauma/Critical care and General Surgery. During this time, I gained invaluable experience in vascular exposure, damage control principles, and rib fixation, enhancing my ability to manage critically injured patients effectively.

As a board member of ANZAST, I am actively involved in advancing trauma systems across Australia and New Zealand. I contribute significantly to surgical education as an instructor in the ABSET (Anatomical Based course, imparting critical skills in anatomical exposure for trauma management. Furthermore, I serve as an examiner for the RACS clinical exam, supporting the growth and development of medical students, junior doctors, and general surgical trainees.
